What Does Brown Patch Of Skin On Scrotum Indicate?

Hi, I have a small (about 1cm across) brown patch of skin just to the left of the scrotum at the point where the leg meets scrotum. It is the same colour as a birth mark, (it definitely is not that) and doesn t itch. Can anyone help me with this William

Hello,

I can understand your concern for brown patch of skin on scrotum. I can understand from your query that you do not have any pain or itching or related symptoms and is present from quite a long period of time.

It requires a close examination of the patch or atleast a good resolution picture of the area to diagnose the exact entity of the brown patch of skin on scrotum. It could be simply related to a post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation or can be simple lichenoid eruption of the scrotal area. Anyhow, as it is not causing any problem so you can relax for any grave possibility. I suggest you to keep a observation on the area and if it increases then can take further guidance from your treating dermatologist.
Take care.
