What Does Borderline TPHA Test Value Indicate?

I had a borderline tpha result. My last sexual contact was 6 months ago. I have sores on my fingers and toes due to eczema. My skin will break and will have sores and rashes all over my body specially when the weather is hot. Is this may be indicative of syphilis or this skin condition can cause tpha positive?

Hey thanks for your faith in the health care magic.i have gone through your question and understood your problem.yes it shows u had exposed to syphilis.
If once that person had syphilis in his past life, TPHA will always remain Positive although that person is healthy and no active syphilis.Tests like TPHA are useful in monitoring the patients response to treatment, they also help to indicate the stage of disease and they can identify reinfection. So in such cases the VDRL test is preferred for diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. If you like my answers and wish me to answer in future, bring it to my attention
