Hi,

Meniscal fraying is a term given to an irregular edge of the meniscus (often of the thinner inner edge) without discrete tearing, It doesn't mean it happens only with an injury. Due to the ageing factor, More prolong standing, Jumping and stressful activities may lead to the similar conditions. Degenerative changes are difficult to revert back. You need to take precautions only.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Sunny Anand, Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist
