I have a horizontal oblique tear of the body of the lateral meniscus extending to the inferior articular There is blunting of the body of the medial meniscus as well as a horizontal oblique tearing of the posterior horn and posterior horn and body junction of the medial meniscus. what does this mean???

Hello,

The horizontal oblique tear of body of the lateral meniscus extending to inferior articular surface indicates post traumatic damage to vital structure of stabilization of the knee joint. There are different techniques to cure such injury as conservative medical therapy, slab support with leg rest for tissue healing, laparoscopic or open surgical repair with wiring and else. If you can share your MRI plates with me during follow up conversation, I would be able to guide you in more precision for sure.
