What Does Basal Bronchial Markings Shown In The Following Chest X-ray Mean?

Hi Doctor, just yesterday I had X ray chest and has been found: Basal bronchial markings, more on the right increased and may be inflammatory. Elsewhere the lungs and pleural surfaces clear. I would like to ask you what does it mean? Three months ago I had X ray chest and all was clear. My GP gave me antibioticks Curam duo forte and puff Tilade. I am not smoker. Very worries whats going on and never found this marking before. Thank you for seeing that.

A finding of Basal bronchial markings may reflect increased pressures with in the lung parenchyma. The symptom that could be associated with this is difficulty breathing . Such markings may only mean normal wear and tear, and may appear in people who would never have lung disease. A critical point to take in here is “as clinically warranted”. Hence, the XRay is meant to explore your problem.May be you are suffering from chest Infections.Nothing serious and worry about it. Normally after antibiotic courses the symptoms resolve.
