I am 51 year old woman called back for first time changes in a mammogram. Images of my left breast led to an ultrasound and while sitting in the waiting room the radiologist comes out shakes my hand and says this bad I faintly hear the cancer word followed by might be benign followed by you have to have this biopsied any questions. I say no and stumble out the door back to work on Friday afternoon. They tell me my doctor who ordered the routine mammogram will call in 1-2 days. I look up my patient portal tonight and all I can read is achritecual distortion uoq left breast. I ve made myself sick this weekend and have to wait till tomorrow for more news. What doctor says this to a patient. What did he see?
