What Does An Oily Orange Discharge From The Rectum Indicate?

I had slight constipation today after being on a 5 day fast. During the fast we had to drink plenty of water(which I did) and only one meal a day. The fast ended last night. After my morning smoothie, which consisted of spinach, kale, 1/4 banana, frozen blueberries & ginger root. I had a BM. I have had yellow/orange discharge from my rectum and oil substance on top of water. This has gone on most of this day. What is wrong with me?

Hello,

I think normal stool is brownish or dark yellowish in color. Oily stool, or steatorrhea, is caused due to occurrence of fats in feces, which in turn is the result of malabsorption of fats by the digestive system. Orange oily stool may be temporary and occur due to harmless causes like intake of certain foods, supplements, medications, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
