What Does An Itchy Spot Above Knees Indicate?

Hi, I have had a spot above my knee that always itches. It is darker than the rest of my skin and hair grows more quickly there. It s been like this for years. Many years ago, I dropped hot chilli on my leg there but that is all I can think of. I would think less hair would grow from the burn instead of more.

hello thanks for the query.
You might be suffering from a condition called as numullar eczema.
It is a chronic condition characterised by a single a few itchy plaques on the skin.
it can be treated with the use of potent steroid creams like clobetasol.
Use of steroid cream gives excellent response within 15 days.
once the plaque heals, keep using a moisturiser so as to prevent recurrence.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
