What Does An Itchy Rash On The Ankle Indicate?

I have a rash on my ankle and side of my leg. It is spreading. First it look just like a bite of some sort. Now it s itchy and spreading up my leg and down my foot. I got into the shower today and the water seem to make it itch worse! Also this makes the fourth day! It s getting worse and the itching is intense. I used benadryl cream, alcohol, hydrocortisone cream, the benadr spray. Nothing is working much

As per your query, you have symptoms of an itchy rash on the ankle which is very common as dirt and moisture get trapped by your clothing and the friction that comes from sitting can cause these rashes.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you keep this area clean and dry. You should apply warm compresses with a soaked towel and apply vitamin C serum at night. If the condition doesn't get better then consult a dermatologist for proper examination. The doctor will examine physically along with blood test and sample for the lab test. The doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants and may prescribe benzoyl peroxide ointment.
