What Does An Itchy Bald Spot On The Head Indicate?

Hi, Ive had this bald spot on my head since 2011. At that time I was 20. Was brushing my hair one morning and noticed a bald spot. Freaked out, but never went to doctor. Was scared and still am to find out! Im now 25 and there is now a dent. No hair regrowth. Itches sometimes, is sensitive, sometimes feels like a bump or pimple on it, but i dont look, or mess with...I thought maybe a spider bit...but it never was swollen or anything..as far as I know...just was there..any suggestions? Thank you, Devyn Jara

Hello Jara
Thanks for posting on HCM
Itchy bald on head could be caused mostly like by a fungal infection.Bacteria infection is possible but less likely in your case given the duration of your symptom.I will suggest you see the Dermatologist to examine the spot.Topical anti-fungal creams may be needed if diagnosis confirmed.
Hope this will help
Best regards
