Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are experiencing altered sense of smell which seems to be due to nasal polyp, acid reflux and nerve dysfunction like olfactory nerve. Sometimes upper respiratory track infection can also cause alteration in sense of smell. I would suggest you to maintain complete hygiene of oral cavity and consult ENT specialist for proper Examination. Doctor may order CT scan, nasal endoscopy , blood test and physical examination and may prescribe antibiotics at least for 10 days along with anti inflammatory. Doctor may also consider surgery or refer you to neurologist for nerve defect.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.
Best wishes,
