What Does A Red Wart On Arm Indicate?

My husband has a growth that looked like a wart and has grown to the size of half a grape on his arm. It is red inflamed with an irregular dent in the middle with scaly dry growth around the base. And it is painful his whole arm is aching and sharp pain if touched This has come up in the last 14 days while we have been waiting for a specialist appt.

Hello respected,

i don't think it's wart on your husband's arm because wart is usually asymptomatic and scaling is also not seen in wart.it may get painful if it's secondarily infected.

One another condition striking in my mind is keratoacanthoma, that also matches your description, that is a benign growth,

anyway do consult a good dermatologist and best way is to get excised and do biopsy also if needed to confirm the diagnosis.
