What Does A Red Vein In The Bladder On A Cystoscopy Report Suggest?

My husband had cystoscope done last week and dr told him a vein in bladder was red? Was checking his urine for cancer cells...and if it came back positive would do another scope and biopsy area. Told him it did not look cancerous. What does that really mean about vein looking red.

Hi

Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

Vein in bladder was looking red .
Doctor explained in lay man language, but it most probably mean that the vein was swollen or engrossed as there are vessels in wall of bladder. Some vessel must be swollen as there may be inflammation of bladder wall. That swollen vein may be leaking blood in urine. If urine report has no RBC then worry not and if the vein is leaking blood that vein has to be coagulated by doctor.

Take Care!
