What Does A Red Scab On The Ear Lobe Indicate?

Hi I found a small browny red scab on my ear lobe and one further up. I don t remember hitting or banging my ear. I used germaline and cetraben cream for a day or so and the one on my ear lobe fell off. If the cream made the scab fall off does it mean it was nothing sinister. I think I noticed a scab before but forgot about it as it is on the edge of my ear lobe at the bottom so hard to see. It could be the same one scab as before, but I m not sure. I felt it with my hand a day or so back. Thanks
