What Does A Red Rash Between Folds Of The Abdominal Skin Indicate?

I have a red rash or inflamation with a whitish cheesy smelling center between the folds of my abdominal skin, I suspect it is a yeast infection. I have anti fungal creams and a prescription cream labeled HC 2.5% CR /CLOTRIM 1% CR1TO1. What do you suggest I use...any of these, or something else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

By what you explain it is very likely it is a yeast infection due to moist and heat in the skin folds. You can use the clotrimazole cream and also try to keep the area dry and clean and try to use cotton clothes.

If you notice no improvement in 3-4 days or if you notice any worsening please see your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
