What Does A Red Bump In The Vagina Indicate?

Hi, today I noticed a red/purple bump on my outer labia majora and I poked it a few times with a needle, nothing came out but blood and I m wondering what it is and I m afraid I may get an infection from poking it with a needle. I don t know what to do

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of bartholin cyst is more likely.
It is simple benign cyst of labia.
It is self resolving into nature.
Nothing should be done if it reduces naturally.
So if you don't have any symptoms like pain or increasing swelling then no need to worry.
If there is pain or worsening swelling then consult gynecologist for surgical removal.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
