Hello,

Persistent throat discomfort with ear pressure does not sound normal at all. There can be possible issue of:
- Adenoids enlargement
- Tonsillitis
- Middle or inner ear disturbances
- Other neuro-muscular disorders

However, an ENT doctor consultation is best person to evaluate on clinical grounds.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
