What Does A Painful Spot On The Wrist Indicate?

Hello, my name is Suzanne, I am 61 years old today :) The soft spot on the back of my hand, at the wrist, aches and is tender to the touch. I had ulnar shortening surgery 11 years ago and am wondering if that bone could grow back. I don't have any numbness, just tenderness in the tissue. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It may be minor inflammation or contusion at the previous surgical site. We have to rule out other conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome which can also present like this.

If symptoms persist, better to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
