What Does A Lump On The Wrist Indicate?

I have a very slight lump on the top of my wrist where the hand meets the wrist. I also can not flex my hand upward. I have very bad pain in the area where the wrist meets the hand, and sometimes it radiates up my arm. I can barely touch the little bone that is on the side of my wrist that is on the pinky side. I had x-rays and there is no broken bones. Do you have an idea what it could be.

General Surgeon 's  Response
In all probability what you have is a ganglion of the wrist joint. It is a protrusion of the synovial sac of the joint with synovial fluid inside. Sometimes it can be painful. If it is causing you much discomfort, and affecting the quality of your life, it is best to get it excised surgically. You may please consult a general surgeon or an orthopedic surgeon for the same.
