What Does A Lump On The Neck Indicate?

I have a lump on my neck next to my left ear. It gets small and sometimes it gets bigger. I ve had it for about 3-4 days and noticed it appeared right after I did some pull ups at the gym. While doing the pull ups at the end I did hurt , but I didn t notice the lump until the next day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The most common lumps or swellings are enlarged lymph nodes.

These can be caused by bacterial or viral infections.

Usually, they go away on its own after the infection is cured.

You should not be worried.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
