Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 45 year old woman. About a week ago, i found a lump in my groin about the size of a golf ball. I am wondering if it could be a barthlin cyst or a hernia. There is no pain or signs of infection. I feel some tugging that is annoying, but not painful. I am suppose to see my gyn doctor in a few weeks for a regular appointment. Do you think that it is ok to wait till then? Any suggestions on what to do?
Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic. If there is no pain or redness then this is not urgent condition and for your description it sounds to me like to be inguinal or femoral hernia or lipoma, not likely bartholini cyst. So you should see doctor and do ultrasound to rule these out. I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
