What Does A Lump In The Groin Area Indicate?

I just noticed a small knot about the size of a dime on the inside crease of my leg close to my bikini line. Is sore to the touch, hard in center and sore to the touch. Should I be concerned? Should I wait a few days to see if bit goes away or call and get into see my doctor adsap? ?

HI , thanks for using healthcare magic

You can consider waiting for a few days to see if it resolves unless the pain is severe or there are other concerning symptoms.

It is possible that it is an inflamed hair follicle. If this is the case, the application of warm compresses 2 to 3 times a day for 15 to 20 minutes along with : (1)anti inflammatory pain medication such as ibuprofen, naproxen, cataflam
(2)cleaning with a topical antiseptic twice daily
(3) a topical antibiotic such as neosporin, fucidin, bactroban, twice daily as well

As mentioned above, if it is very painful or there is improvement or worsening or you remain concerned, you should see your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
