What Does A Fetal Shape Out Of Uterus Indicate?

hi, my name is cassandra ward and i went to the doctors this morning and took a sonogram the doctor said there was no embreo in the sack and that i was to come back in two weeks two look again, now in the sonogram that i have in my hand yes there is nothing in the uterus but there is a baby shape outside of it right by it like you can see the head, chest, the shape of its face? i don't understand and i want a second oppoin please can you help me

According to the report - the report indicates that there is a gestational sac but there is no foetal pole / embryo. This happens in case if you had scan too early and second is missed abortion _ blighted ovum.

Normally by 5 weeks there should be foetal pole and by 6 weeks foetal heart rate should be monitored trans abdominally.

In your case no clarity about the LMP, So have a followup scan after 1week to 10 days for confirmation of viability of the pregnancy.

The head, chest,face what you see in the images are not what you think - they are not formed so early - it takes at least 12-13 weeks for a normal / non medical person to understand the baby parts. Good luck.
