What Does Placenta Is Posterior Grade I Asymmetrical Partial Placenta Previa Indicate?

I am 25 weeks pregnant today.

My 18 week ultrasound said that placenta is located at fundus and extends across posterior wall. Loweredge covers the os. It shows grade 1 maturity.

Now my 24 week ultrasound report says that Placenta is posterior grade I. Asymmetrical partial placenta praevia.

I want to know how I can have previa if my placenta is attached at fundus.

Hello

Previous 18 weeks USG findings suggests Placenta is situated in fundal region of the uterus extending to posterior wall and it is touching the internal os with grade I maturity.

Second 24 weeks USG indicates its shift and now placenta is situated in posterior wall and lower edge is partially touching internal os.
There are maximum chances of further migration of placenta as you have early pregnancy. In most of the cases,it moves away of internal os with advancement of pregnancy.
Patient should have follow up scan to detect the shift of placenta.
Patient should avoid strenuous activity and take adequate rest.

Yes ,patient can have previa with placenta partially attached to fundus.

Hope i have answered your query.
Take Care
