Hello Thanks for writing to us According to MRI report you have degenerative disc disease of lumbar spine. Degenerative changes occurs in spine due to aging and development of weakness in annulus fibrosis which allows herniation of disc. 1.At L4-5 level,there is mild disc bulge with partial extension into both neural foramen and it is causing mild impingement on bilateral existing nerve roots. 2.At L3-4 level there is mild disc bulge in right side and it is causing minimal impingement on right side existing nerve roots. Treatment for degenerative lumbar disease includes physiotherapy or surgery. Effectiveness of both modalities are same.So,physiotherpay should be tried first. It causes strengthening of Para spinal muscles and it prevents further changes. Surgery should be the last option. There are also medicines like capsule pregabalin available for pain relief.
