What Do White Spots On The Lips Indicate?

I've noticed within the past day or so, my upper lip has tiny little white spots and is noticeable only when I stretch my lip with my fingers. Ive been under a lot of stress and anxiety recently, I just started a new job which doesnt allow me to drink water like I used to. What could this be ?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

White spots on the lips that are not causing any discomfort and are visible only on stretching the lip can be most probably due to hypertrophied [overgrown sebaceous glands] known as Fordyce's Spots..

They are harmless structures and you need not to worry about them and leave them as it is..

In case if they are causing any cosmetic problems hen only you need to get them removed using lasers, otherwise they are not harmful in any way..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
