Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, for the past few days I ve beenitching my town and mouth after eating. I thought this could be and alergic reaction so I avoided certain foods but is still itchy whenever I eat. I anso have slight white bumps on my tounge and around my lips is red from itching. Nowhere else is effected.
Understanding your concern. As per query you have symptoms of white bumps on tongue which occur when papillae on the tongue get irritated due to various reasons like allergic reaction, hot and spicy food, stress, hormonal changes and and any other minor injury. It could be thrush/ viral infection. Need not to worry. You should drink plenty of fluids and avoid any sharp spicy food. I would suggest you to consult oral pathologist for proper examination . Doctor will examine carefully and may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory. If it is thrush antifungal medication like Fluconazole will be helpful. For now do warm saline rinses several times a day and maintain proper oral hygiene.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
