Degeneration means now unable to regenerate again, the changes being permanent and can cause further complications due to loss of vitality. - large anterior disc osteophyte complexes identified indenting over aerodigestive tract. Osteophyte means natural compensatory development of tongue like projection from the disc site. This is pressing over the trachea and esophagus. -Minimal an posterior disc osteophyte complexes identified causing thecal sac indentation The similar changes on the back side are pressing on the thecal sac, that is covering of the spinal cord. - no cord or radicular compression at any level This is most important. There is no compression of the roots that carry on the nerves to or fro from the spinal cord. All these findings together say that the discs have developed front and back projestions and cause complications as per the above findings.
