What Do These CT Scan Reports Signify?

hello sir, My brother had an accident and was unconscious for many days in hospital later on he regain consciousness and slowly started mumbling but now he can talk and he can also move his right hand and leg but cannot move the left part of his body. Moreover he cannot recall his latest life events of two years back and after. On 9 February this year he had that accident it s been five months now and I am worried if he doesn t recover better than this.Because though he talk with us like before, he is not the same person now and sometimes he repeats what he says like he doesn t remember telling that already. His first ct scan report found acute parenchymal haematoma in the right basal ganglia measuring 21× 16 and small contusions in right parietal region. And the latest ct scan report taken last month shows Acute on subacute subdural hemorrhage over right frontal convexity with width of 10 mm causing effacement of adjacent frontal sulcal spaces. and chronic infarct with cystic gliotic changes in the antero superior aspect of right capsulo ganglionic region. He is under the medication name T.Eption -er 300 mg once daily , he didn t had any surgery from the start as the doctor said he didn t need it. sir, I m worried whether this reports are pointing towards positive improvement or not.And what more do you suggest for his improvement. thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic in such a serious situation.
I am sorry for the accident your brother went through, but I am also sorry to let you know that, based on the CT scan reports, there is little hope for further recovery. He seems to have been involved in a serious accident. Every clinical finding is the consequence of right sided brain hemorrhage and infarction. Acute basal ganglia hematoma, small parietal contusions and capsulo-ganglionic chronic infarction with cystic gliotic changes (all right sided) explain his left body side paralysis, together with memory loss and personality changes, supported by the right frontal convexity subdural hematoma. In the course of time, there will be a spontaneous absorbtion of the hemorrhage, although of no significant clinical improvement. However some physiotherapy might help to prevent muscle atrophy of the left body side.
I am sorry for my answer and hope there will be some improvement. If there is something else you need to know, please feel free to ask!
Thank you!
Dr. Juarda
