What Do The Triglycerides And Serum VLDL Values In The Below Lab Report Suggest?

Hi, I am Mudassir. I am 32 years old male. I recently got my Diabetic Profile and Lipid Profile lab reports. That s what the report says:-1. Plasma Glucose (Fasting) - 5.2 mmol (Pre Diabetes 5.6 - 6.9 mmol/l)2. Serum Total Cholestrol - 4.15 (Less than 5.2 mmol/l is desirable)3. Serum HDL Cholestrol - 0.8 (Desirable is more than 1.04 mmol/l)4. Serum LDL Cholestrol - 2.35(Less than 2.59 mmol/l is optimal)5. Serum Triglycerides - 2.19 (Desirable is 0.4 - 1.6 mmol/l, Borderline is 1.7 to 2.2 mmol/l)6. Serum VLDL - 1.00 (Desirable is less than 0.78 mmol/l)Do I have to be really worried about my triglycerides and VLDL levels? What about Glucose level, as it is also near to 5.6?Any precautions regarding food? I have already started the exercise and i run one mile 5 days a week. Is it enough?Last thing, What exercise is more useful in reducing my triglycerides and VLDL? I mean Cardio or Muscular Strength exercises?

Hello!
Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

You need not worry, all your reports are fine. Keep exercising and running. Cardio provides better results. VLDL isn't anything to worry, avoid fatty and oily diet. blood sugar is normal and nothing to worry. You have done the right modifications, 3 months later go for the tests again.

Take care!
