Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Swelling And Redness Under The Eyes Indicate?
I have redness, swelling drying, then peeling of the area under my eyes This has been occurring for more than a month. It gets some better and then comes back in a day. I have stopped using all my makeup and gotten hypoallergenic but it makes no difference.
Until the examination of the lesion, it is difficult to say what it is. But here I'm mentioning possible causes like 1. Makeup: like mascara, eyeliner, and concealer. 2. Hair products: Shampoos conditioners hair dyes. 3. Skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis or blepharitis or folliculitis etcetera. Olive oil, grape seed oil, and almond oil may useful for flaky skin. Drink plenty of liquid. If symptoms not improved, please consult your dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
