I have episodes where I get instantly sleepy, I have 3 minor leaking valves, history of subclavian steele syndrome with graft to carotid, one heart attack with stent, high blood pressure,one lung,one kidney. I recently had the kidney checked it is fine, and lung funtion remains stable for the one lung with 10% of the other lung working. I have passed out when I get these episodes, and when I do I remain asleep up to 10-14 hours at a time. I get dizzy at times like this when I am up and feel like I am going to pass out, I sit down and at times I instantly fall asleep or pass out I dont know which it is I do.
