What Do Sudden Cramping Of Hands And Arms In An Alcoholic Indicate?
Hi! 34 year old alchoholic had sudden cramping of hands and them arms. They pulled up to his chest and froze. He had trouble breathing stomach and throat cramped up. Ambulance took to er. Medics in ambulance said they had never seen anyone sweat so much. No visible problem on cat scan. No diagnosis. Any ideas, Dr. Rynne?
These symptoms you mentioned can be caused by hypoglycemia (Reduced blood sugar levels) and it can occur especially in alcoholics. Nutritional deficiencies like vitamin B1, B6, B12, Vitamin D3 can also cause same problems nd are common in alcoholic people.
