What Do Small Bumps Inside The Lips, Which Bleed When Scratched, Indicate?
Hello. I've been having these small bumps Inside the lips. Theyre not like the pimples or hair bumps that I usually get. When peeled or scratched, (because it does itch) it starts to bleed. And it has been there for a couple of weeks. And I have an appointment tomorrow. I just wanted to know what I was up against. If you could tell me what it possibly is, I would greatly appreciate it.
Small bumps inside the lips can be due to Allergic reaction as they are itchy and can be most probably due to any food or medication that you are taking.. Other causes can be allergic contents in any toothpaste or mouthwash, chemicals in water etc..
You should first of all consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can be done..
In case if it is due to Allergic reaction then an Allergic test will be conducted to rule out the cause of allergy so that it can be eliminated.. You will also be given anti allergics like Benadryl or Allegra along with gargling with a solution of milk of magnesia and Benadryl.. Doing cool water rinses will also help in reducing itching..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
