What Do Red Rashes On The Legs And Ankles Indicate?

I have developed a very red rash on my legs. It started by my ankles & has gone all the way up my legs & also have some on my arms. I was taking an antibiotic for urinary track infection. I finished it on Tuesday morning & this started on Wednesday night. Could it have been the medicine? I have taken that same kind before but nothing like this happened. I have been to a local Dr. & she prescribed prednisone. I just started taking it yesterday so maybe I m too anxious for results. Also I called her today as my rash is worse & she told me to take another prednisone. That s 60mg s. Please excuse my lengthy question.
