What Do Red Rashes On The Knees Indicate?

A couple weeks ago my son had a couple of marks on his knee that look like scratches that might ve broke in the skin but had no bruising. Now they look like odd shaped (Mickey mouse shaped almost) with dark red bruising that transitions from light to dark with a spot in the middle that looks like it may need to be popped on the one.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Rashes on the knees of your son are indicative of infection. Apply ointment Bacitracin or Betnovate N after a shower or wash three times a day. If it gets well fine, if not it can be DH, dermatitis herpetiformis/contact dermatitis or Psoriasis. Then visit ER, get your son examines, investigations done & treated as DH may lead to Celiac disease if left neglected. Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
