What Do Red Pimples In The Corner Of The Mouth Indicate?
I have red sores mainly by the corners of my mouth. They look like they form a dry patch over them that you can peel off. When you peel it off, thinking that it will go away, the red soars remain. What can this be? I also have small pimples on my forehead and I have never had pimples in my life growing up? Thank you my email address is YYYY@YYYY
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain it seems that red sores on the corners of the lips which forms dry scab seems to be due to viral infection caused by Herpes Simplex Virus 1 causing cold sores..
Consult a Dermatologist or Infectious Medicine specialist and get evaluated and a swab culture from the sores and also blood tests like antigen antibody reaction to confirm the cause..
If viral infection is confirmed then antiviral medication like Acyclovir, Valacyclovir and topical antiviral ointments like Valtrex can be advised for relief..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
