Hello, Yes you can answer a question for me. I am 76, female and have been so stressed since I began a divorce after 55 yrs. of a very unhappy marriage. It is final now. On my arms I get these reddish and purple spots in different shapes and sizes, after a few days they begin fading and in a few days it starts all over. Very hard to explain, except they look terrible. Very little itching occasionally. Could you possibly help me find something to use on my skin?. Thankyou. Barbara
thanks for asking Barbara, you are suffering from Senile Purpura. nothing to worry about this. it is a common problem in old age people. Senile purpura typically affects elderly patients as their dermal tissues atrophy and blood vessels become more fragile. Patients develop persistent dark purple ecchymoses, which are characteristically confined to the extensor surfaces of the hands and forearms. New lesions appear without recognized trauma and then resolve over several days, leaving a brownish discoloration. so avoid trivial trauma, use moisturizer two times daily. regards
