Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am an RN, do utilization review for a major hospital. Have been taking naproxyn 600mg 1 tab q12h for about 3 weeks. About a week ago I developed a rash to both forearms that looks a little like eczema but itches a great deal. I stopped the naproxyn yesterday and have been using Aveno lotion. The rash first developed on my left arm but is also now on my right forearm Any suggestions.
There are many possibilities for the rash including side effects of medications, as it is common to develop itchy skin while using Naproxen. To relieve your symptoms, You can apply cold water , and your doctor will prescribe Oral and topical antihistamines to alleviate both rash and itching .
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Abed Tahrawi
