What Do Prolonged Periods Indicate?

I have prolong menstruation and when i go to my obgyne she requested me to go test my blood cbc (platelets count) the result is i hav 600 platelets counts she gave me tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding and to go trans vaginal ultrasound when my menstruation stop..im worried is it normal to hav 600 platelets counts?

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your bleeding concern.

You have too much of low level of platelet count. You must have written the 600of what (per ml). It is too low be keep patient away from ER.

I think you need to reframe your query and upload new one with proper units.

If it is 600 per ml of blood you then need a hospitalization as soon as possible. Repeat your test and visit a hematologist for further evaluation.

Normal platelet count is 2.5 lack per ml and blow 10000 is concerned to be dangerous.
