What Do Pressure In The Chest And Severe Dizziness Indicate?

I feel fine now. I do have a slight pressure feeling in my chest. I am 48 and I just experienced a rapid heart rate with extreme dizziness and stars. I set down immediately and within minutes everything went away. The only weird symptoms and was excess saliva and then an extreme thirsty feeling about five minutes after the episode. After drinking the water all seems good. What does all of this mean?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear. I read your query and I understand your concern. It seems you had a sudden hypotension episode. Since you had the thirst it was due to dehydration. Dehydration is when your body loses more water than it takes in, it can cause weakness, dizziness and fatigue. Fever, vomiting, severe diarrhea, overuse of diuretics and strenuous exercise can lead to dehydration. Hope my answer was helpful. Best regards.
