What Do Painful, Soft, Whitehead Like Spots Near The Right Shoulder Suggest?

Hi, yesterday at around midday I found I had 4 spots on my neck, just near my right shoulder. They re spaced quite close together and when I looked in the mirror one was a white head. Due to pain I ve not woken up in the middle of the night with a similar irritation feeling on the other side at the back of my neck, although upon looking there were no spots present. However the ones already there we all whiteheads now. Please help, they irritate so much, I can t even wear hoodies it hurts so bad. They re quite soft too, not like a firmer pimple you could get in your face.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I believe it can be folliculitis or infection of the hair follicles. You can use antibacterial cream on them. Wash them with warm water to help them drain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
