What Do Numbness And Tingling Sensation On The Left Side Of The Neck Indicate?

I just started to have a numbness/tingling on the left side of my neck. It goes from around my jaw line, from ear to corner of mouth, and it is hard to determine how far down it is going. I have had a recent lower back injury which has been causing numbness and tingling from the middle lower back right above my butt crack down my left leg and to my left foot. I am wondering if this is being caused from the same injury? If it is not I also had a recent pop in my right neck, shoulder area that felt like I was shocked. Lastly I had Bells Palsy back in 2006 in the left side of my face that lasted for 6 months and I have residual side effects from it.

Hello,

You are having cervical spondylosis. Please undergo cervical spine x-ray and MRI cervical spine.

You may take any neurotonic. Avoid high pillow while sleeping. You should do neck exercises as advocated by Baba Ramdev (Patanjali) on google.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
