What Do My Ultrasound Scan Test Results Indicate?

Hi doctor, I m 27 years old and am 21.1 weeks pg. over the past 5 weeks my cervix has shortened from 4cm down to 3cm then at my last ultrasound today it was back to 3.8cm no they have stopped ultrasounds just wondering if I should Still be having it checked have had 2 ni trimester losses at 17weekd and 20weeks and 2 full term pregnancies.

Hello,

If the cervical length is more than 2.5 cm then a woman does not have cervical insufficiency. In your case, because you already are having measurements of over 3 cm, it is unlikely you are at risk for cervical insufficiency.
On the other hand, because you already have a history of a couple of losses, it might be advisable to be closely followed with your doctor and for any complaint or change, you will need to let him know and have proper examinations.
