What do moderate epithelial cells mean in a sputum culture?

My fathers sputum report is suggesting moderate numerous epithelial cells.. about 3 to 4 weeks he is suffering in cough with sputum... but after some treat he is feeling better now... the doctor advises sputum bacterial c/s test... nd now report is showing no such bacteria but show moderate numerous epithelial cells... what does it means?

The presence of epithelial cells in sputum culture is normal, don't worry. The normal range is fewer than 10 epithelial cells per low power field.

Came back with these results: RARE SQUAMOUS EPITHELIAL CELLS MODERATE WBC S RARE GRAM POSITIVE COCCI IN PAIRS RARE GRAM POSITIVE COCCOBACILLI SPUTUM ACCEPTABLE FOR CULTURE Im curious what these results mean and if i have reason to worry or seek any sort of treatment?
