Hello! I m going to start by mentioning that two days ago I had noticed two lumps on the sides of my throat, one centered with the ear and about two inches below and the other on the opposite side, also centered with the ear but at the base of my neck. I had been laying on my side most of the day with my head propped on the couch arm so I thought nothing of it. I attempted to massage them out but didn t think anything of the knots . Tonight however I reached up to adjust my hair and felt a lump on the back of my head. Level with my ear but right where it would be considered back and not side of my head (maybe 3 inches from my ear). It s really very hard, and I also attempted to massage this away. Ever since (this was about an hour ago) it has been very sore (a dull pain). I have sense felt around and noticed a couple small ones (large pimple sized) on the top of my head (they re not pimples trust me I ve investigated after bawling thinking I was going to die.) What could these be?! I do have a couple scabs on the top of my head but from what I can tell they re getting better so I m not sure that they d have anything to do with this? Please help

What Do Lumps On The Side Of The Throat Indicate?
Hello, As per your history, it may be tonsillitis. For that do saline or Betadine gargles. Take steam inhalation. In case of pain you can take tablet acetaminophen and you may require antibiotics like tablet Azithromycin after physician consultation. Take hygienic food and water. Keep your self hydrated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
