What Do Low GRF Levels And High Creatinine Levels Indicate?

Went to the ER and was diagnosed with a panic attack. After getting home, I looked over the discharge papers and they included the blood results. I’m very concerned as my GFR is 59 and my creatinine is 1.06. My GFR was marked low and creatinine high. I’m so scared as I’m only 36 with 2 small children who has never had health problems. My GFR level was 115 just 3 years ago. The only things I take are supplements and I took a tiny bit of CBD oil before. No illegal drugs. Please help!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Low GFR and high creatinine suggestive of some nephropathy or kidney disease. For your further work up I suggest you investigate with ultrasonography pelvis and urine routine microscopic examination.

If you have a long-term history of hypertension and diabetes than kidney can be affected due to that.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
