What Do Bright White Lesions On A Breast MRI Indicate?

Is it true that bright white lesions on a breast MRI are usually cancerous. My niece had a biopsy on 3 7mm lesions in her breast today. She was told because the MRI showed them as bright white that was indicative of cancer. Is that true? Another question, concerning myself. I am 59 with a history of asthma. I am having a flare-up right now and started Dulera a few days ago. (2 puffs, 2 times a day). This morning when I woke up I get dizzy when I walk around or stand for a few minutes. My muscles feel like they are tightening up and really hurt. Could this be a side effect of the dulera? My peak flow without the Dulera was 75-100 and after taking it and 2 puffs of albeteral I got it up to 150. My best ever peak flow is 300.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The hyperintense lesion of white is suggestive of increased contrast uptake in most of the cases, which may be cancer or other doubtful lesions.

And the question for muscle cramps after intake of Dulera is obviously side effect of the drug and the same wears of within next 24 hours if no further doses are consumed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
