What Do Black Marks On The Thumb Nail Indicate?
I have had a series of about three or four very small black marks appear on my left thumb nail. No injuries. The spots are embedded. Size = not quite as large as a comma , My pointer finger on the same hand randomly developed a small, linear indent in the middle. I have always had very nice nails. The conditions I cite are incredibly minor, but I noticed them. Should I worry about endocardis (sp)?

As you have spots which are present in endocarditis does not mean that you have endocarditis .
Diagnosis will be made on echocardiography and presence of cardiac symptoms as cardiac failure as breathlessness and swelling feet or chest pain or heart murmur .
If you have these features get echocardiography .
If you donot have above mentioned features then stay relaxed.
