What Do US Showing Pelviureteric Junction Obstruction And Renal Calculi Mean?
Doctor, my whole abdomen ultrasound says, RK measures 15 cm , LK measures 10.5cm. Right kidney is enlarged, show grossly dilated pelvicalyceal system (predominantly pelvis measuring 6.1cm in anteropostrior dimension ) with thinned out cortex cause likely to be pelviureteric junction obstruction. Few at least three mobile calculi of size 8 to 10 mm seen in right renal pelvis. Can you please elaborate about this problem. I am advised to do CT scan.

Hi,
Report shows that due to stone at the site there is obstruction at the point of starting of ureter from kidney.
Due to this obstruction there might be having hydro-nephrosis change in right kidney leading to thinning of cortex and increase size of right kidney.
This obstruction might be due to kidney stones.
consult urologist and further investigations.
